Happy and secure in a comfortable home
Secure and caring; we provide long term personal care for older people, some of whom may have dementia related illnesses. The local team of District Nurses will visit our residents upon referral from a GP, should they need any nursing interventions. Two night care assistants are awake throughout the night, with a senior member of staff ‘on call’ in case of emergency.
Riccall House is a former Vicarage and residents enjoy beautifully decorated rooms, including two television lounges and a separate light and airy dining room. To get everyone out and about, we have wheelchairs available for outings and appointments and from time to time we use the services of a local minibus company for group outings. Fresh, clean and tidy, the home is cleaned every day. We pride ourselves on maintaining the building and environment to a high standard. Laundry and housekeeping is included in our fees, with the exception of dry cleaning.
We have 12 single rooms, and 3 companion rooms. All rooms have washing facilities, TV ariel points and a staff call system. Many rooms have memory boards helping our residents associate their room with their former home and we welcome personal furniture and possessions, as we aim to create a home away from home.
Employing two cooks, interesting and varied meals are provided by our caring catering staff. Choice is offered at each meal, snacks and drinks available throughout the day and specialised diets catered for.
We are happy to assist residents with eating and drinking, and visitors are welcome to join residents for meals.
Our residents enjoy the use of our mature and sheltered courtyard garden, providing an ideal space to get some fresh air, sit, have a chat and relax.
