Secure and caring; we provide long term personal care for older people, some of whom may have dementia related illnesses. The local team of District Nurses will visit our residents upon referral from a GP, should they need any nursing interventions. Two night care assistants are awake throughout the night, with a senior member of staff ‘on call’ in case of emergency.
Riccall House is a former Vicarage and residents enjoy beautifully decorated rooms, including two television lounges and a separate light and airy dining room. To get everyone out and about, we have wheelchairs available for outings and appointments and from time to time we use the services of a local minibus company for group outings. Fresh, clean and tidy, the home is cleaned every day. We pride ourselves on maintaining the building and environment to a high standard. Laundry and housekeeping is included in our fees, with the exception of dry cleaning.
We have 13 single rooms, and 2 companion rooms. All rooms have washing facilities, TV ariel points and a staff call system. Many rooms have memory boards helping our residents associate their room with their former home and we welcome personal furniture and possessions, as we aim to create a home away from home.
